They almost ran out of baseballs at Riverfront Stadium as Cincinnati Reds
clobbered the Atlanta Braves pitching staff, scoring 11 runs while Mike
Lacoss(15-4), with relief help from Charlie Leibrandt, held Atlanta to 1
run.

The Cincinnati fans enjoyed the offense provided by Hector Cruz. He tripled
with all three runners coming home in the 3rd inning, lined a base-hit in the
4th inning and doubled scoring a run in the 8th inning. Overall Cincinnati
out-hit Atlanta 13 to 8.

Larry McWilliams(4-5) ended up with the loss. Cincinnati scored big getting 6
runs off him in 2 and 1/3 innings.
