The hometown crowd was rewarded with a dramatic ending, as the Atlanta Braves
staged a comeback win over the Cincinnati Reds by the count of 8 to
7.

Atlanta won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 3
runs on 3 base hits. After two were out Bob Horner began the rally when he
laced a one-base hit. Dale Murphy stepped up to the plate and he drew a
walk. Barry Bonnell then doubled. Joe Nolan followed and he slapped a
base-hit. Atlanta had 14 hits for the game and Cincinnati had 7.

Gene Garber(6-5) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Tom Hume(10-11) was
the loser in relief. 'Now that is what I call fun! I just love baseball,
especially games like this, of course,' Bobby Cox offered. 'Everyone at the
stadium had a great time - did you see the fans go wild there at the end?!'
