Phil Nastu allowed Joe Altobelli to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
and first baseman Mike Ivie went yard and had 2 RBI as the San Francisco
Giants defeated the Cincinnati Reds by the score of 6 to 1 at Candlestick
Park.

San Francisco took the lead for good in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring 2
runners on 3 hits. That early scoring held up. San Francisco had a total of
10 hits for the game.

Nastu(4-4) allowed 1 run on the game. Paul Moskau(3-6) ended up with the loss.
He pitched 5 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 7 hits and 1 walk.
