separated the combatants at game's end. The Cincinnati Reds won by the
slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.

Fred Norman(5-1) had a fairly solid outing. He allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in
6 innings and gave up 2 homeruns. Cincinnati managed only 6 hits on the
afternoon.

Doug Bair was credited with his 6th save. Don Sutton(4-4) was given the loss.
He allowed 3 runs and 6 hits in 9 innings.

'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Norman, 'I was
just giving us a chance to win.'
