George Foster blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds bested
the Atlanta Braves 6 to 2 at Fulton Co. Stadium.
Foster enjoyed a great evening at the plate. He blasted a solo shot in the
4th inning, doubled bringing in a run in the 6th inning and blasted a two-run
home run in the 7th inning. Cincinnati had 10 hits for the night while
Atlanta had 6.
The winning pitcher was Tom Seaver(1-1) who allowed 1 run in 7 innings. Mickey
Mahler(0-1) absorbed the loss. 'I had a big day, but there's a lot of credit
to go around' Foster said. 'We played well together as a team.'
