Randy Johnson dominated striking out 12 Toronto batters and Mike Blowers had 2
base hits as the Seattle Mariners defeated the Toronto Blue Jays by the score
of 3 to 2 at The Kingdome.
Johnson(17-7) was on top of his game. He allowed only 2 hits and no walks in
6 innings. Toronto threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Mark Holzemer earned his 1st save. Omar Daal(2-1) was the losing pitcher. Lou
Piniella was asked about the performance of Johnson, 'He had his good stuff
out there tonight. The fans really get into it when the strikeouts start
mounting up - and that seems to give him even more adrenalin.'
